The stamp pictured on this stamp is from March 1932, it is pre-decimal currency and was printed to celebrate the opening of The iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The 'Australian Birds' series was issued from 1978 to 1980 and featured 20 native bird species. This set is from stamps issued in September 1979.
First in this lot is the Zebra Finch, highly regarded for its ability to learn songs. Second is the Crimson Finch with its bright red bill and intense red chest. Finches are very small, fairly common birds found throughout Australia.
Third in this set is the Eastern Yellow Robin, also known as the 'Dawn Singer'. Lastly is the Lovely Wren, found in tropical and coastal areas of Australia.
The Australian Birds definitive stamp series was designed by Kay Breeden-Williams who intended for it to highlight the need for nature conservation.

The 'Living Together' series was issued throughout the Australian Bicentennial year of 1988. This set includes 4 of the 27 in the series.
These stamps feature cartoonists' interpretations of Australian society as it was in the 1980's.
Each stamp has the inclusion of the map-logo of the Australian Bicentennial Authority.
To enhance the visual impact all stamps were produced in the shape of a square.

These stamps were issued for Queen Elizabeth II Birthdays.
The first was issued in April 1981, a 22cent stamp. It is Queen Elizabeth's Personal Flag of Australia.
The second was issued in April 1985, a 33cent stamp. The Queens Badge, Order of Australia, which commemorates the head of the Australian honours system, established by the Queen in 1975.

These are 33 cent stamps and illustrate Australian vintage artilliary and the customary skill of Australian horsemanship.
From Victoria is the Royal Victorian Volunteer Artillery and the Victorian Mounted Rifles. From Western Australia is the Western Australian Pinjarrah Cavalry uniform. From New South Wales is the New South Wales Contingent to the Sudan and the New South Wales Lancers.

Christmas stamps issued in Australia in 1964, 1979 and 1989 consecutively.
Firstly from 1964 is the 5d pre-decimal stamp with a picture of a child looking at a nativity scene.
Next from 1979 is the Eastern European Icon stamp with an image of Christ's Nativity. This is a reproduction of a 15th-century Eastern Orthodox icon painted by monks at Mount Athos, Greece. Features include the use of Greek lettering.
Lastly from Christmas 1988 is a chosen stamp from a childrens design contest that year. The drawing is a nativity scene, by Danielle Hush, Aged 7 at the time.
